probably my favorite thing abt hiccup is that, even with his insecurities, he’s not shy in the slightest. he’s got a lot of confidence, and he can be REALLY fucking sassy and sarcastic when he wants to. as much as i love socially awkward characters, it’s actually kinda refreshing to have a protagonist who’s not afraid to speak up, while still being a soft and nice person.
